CDL – Shavings Driver

Prestage is seeking an experienced CDL - Shavings Driver to join our team in Cassatt, South Carolina. In this full-time role, you'll operate commercial vehicles to transport shavings throughout our service area, supporting our operations with reliability and professionalism.

Position Summary

As a CDL - Shavings Driver at Prestage, you'll be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting shavings to our customers and facilities. This hands-on position requires strong driving skills, mechanical awareness, and a commitment to safety and customer service. You'll work independently while maintaining regular communication with dispatch and management, ensuring timely delivery and proper vehicle maintenance throughout your routes.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles equipped to safely transport shavings and related materials
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
• Load and unload materials according to company procedures and weight regulations
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate updates with dispatch
• Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
• Respond professionally to customer requests and inquiries at delivery locations
• Keep vehicle clean and perform basic maintenance as needed

What You Bring

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class
• Proven experience operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations and safe hauling practices
• Solid mechanical aptitude and vehicle maintenance awareness
• Excellent communication and time management abilities
• Professional demeanor and commitment to safety
