Independent Processor

Premium Merchant Funding is seeking an Independent Processor to join our team in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. In this full-time role, you'll play a critical part in supporting our merchant network by managing application processing, documentation verification, and transaction workflows that keep our clients' businesses running smoothly.

Position Summary

As an Independent Processor, you'll be the backbone of our merchant onboarding and support operations. You'll review applications, verify documentation, coordinate with merchants, and ensure all processing workflows meet our compliance and quality standards. This role demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high throughput and accuracy.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Review and process merchant applications, verifying documentation and eligibility criteria
• Communicate with merchants to clarify information, request missing documents, and provide updates on application status
• Maintain detailed records and ensure all files are organized and accessible for audit purposes
• Identify and flag discrepancies, potential risks, or compliance concerns for management review
• Meet processing targets and quality benchmarks while working to established timelines
• Support the resolution of merchant inquiries related to their accounts and services

Who We're Looking For

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your workflow
• Familiarity with merchant services, payment processing, or related financial services is a plus
• Comfort learning and using processing software and documentation systems
