Business Development Representative

Premium Merchant Funding is hiring a Business Development Representative to join our team in Hoboken, New Jersey. This is a full-time, on-site position where you'll drive new business growth and build lasting client relationships in our growing merchant financing business.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Representative, you'll be at the forefront of our expansion, identifying and cultivating relationships with merchants and partners who can benefit from our funding solutions. You'll work directly with prospects, understand their business needs, and position our offerings as the right solution for their growth. This role offers the chance to develop your sales skills, build a strong pipeline, and make a measurable impact on company revenue in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify merchant leads using a combination of outbound calling, email, and relationship-building strategies
• Conduct discovery calls to understand client business models, challenges, and funding needs
• Present Premium Merchant Funding solutions clearly and compellingly to prospective clients
• Maintain detailed records of all prospect interactions and pipeline activities in our CRM system
• Collaborate with the sales and underwriting teams to move qualified opportunities through the funding process
• Meet consistent activity and pipeline targets to support team and company revenue goals
• Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to expand your professional network

What You Bring

• Proven ability to thrive in a sales or business development environment with strong communication and persuasion skills
• Comfort with high-volume outreach and resilience in a role where rejection is part of the process
• Familiarity with small-business finance, lending, or merchant services (preferred but not required)
• Proficiency with CRM systems and basic computer proficiency
• Ability to manage your own time, set priorities, and meet ambitious targets independently
• Genuine interest in helping businesses grow through strategic financing solutions
