Manager, IT Security

Pixlr Group is seeking an experienced Manager, IT Security to lead our information security operations and strategy in Bandar Sunway, Selangor, Malaysia. This is a full-time role for a seasoned security leader ready to shape our organisation's defences and drive security excellence.

Role Overview

As Manager, IT Security, you will oversee all aspects of our information security function, from policy development and incident response to risk assessment and compliance management. You'll partner with senior leadership across technology, operations, and business units to embed security into our decision-making processes and protect our digital assets from evolving threats.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies, standards, and procedures
• Lead security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing programmes
• Manage security incidents and coordinate response efforts across the organisation
• Oversee access controls, identity management, and data protection initiatives
• Monitor regulatory compliance requirements relevant to our industry and ensure adherence
• Conduct security awareness training and build a security-conscious culture
• Manage security tools, platforms, and third-party vendor relationships
• Report security metrics, risks, and recommendations to senior management and the board

What You Bring

• 5+ years of information security management experience, ideally in organisations of similar scale
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls)
• Hands-on experience with security technologies, threat assessment, and incident response
• Understanding of regulatory compliance landscapes and data protection regulations
• Proven ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Leadership skills, project management discipline, and attention to detail
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are valued
