About the Role
As a Montessori Middle School Guide at Yeshivat Netivot Montessori, you'll facilitate inquiry-driven, student-centered learning across core academic disciplines. You'll collaborate with our Judaic Studies instructor, participate in the school's multi-age, multi-discipline environment, and support students in developing both scholarly depth and personal responsibility.
What You'll Do
- Guide instruction in mathematics, reading, writing, language arts, history, and science aligned with Montessori principles
- Design and deliver lessons that encourage independent thinking, hands-on exploration, and critical analysis
- Maintain detailed student progress records and provide clear, meaningful progress reporting to families
- Manage classroom environment with an emphasis on student agency, practical life skills, and community responsibility
- Coordinate with Judaic Studies colleagues to integrate values and Hebrew language learning across the curriculum
- Foster an inclusive classroom where each student's developmental pace and learning style are respected
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree and current or pending Montessori teacher certification
- Demonstrated expertise in facilitating multi-age or mixed-ability groups
- Strong background in elementary or middle-grades Montessori pedagogy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with staff and families
- Genuine passion for Montessori principles and Judaic education
- Ability to create inspiring, thoughtfully organized learning spaces
