ML Ops Engineer – Digital Solutions

Join Continental's Digital Solutions team as an ML Ops Engineer in a full-time, remote role based in Lousado, Braga, PT. We're seeking an experienced machine learning operations professional to build, maintain, and scale the infrastructure powering our AI and ML initiatives.

The Opportunity

Continental is seeking an ML Ops Engineer to architect, deploy, and optimise the platforms that enable machine learning at scale across our organisation. You'll bridge the gap between data science teams and production systems, ensuring models run reliably, efficiently, and securely. This role offers genuine autonomy in shaping how we operationalise artificial intelligence across digital solutions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and manage end-to-end ML pipelines, model registries, and deployment workflows using industry-standard tools
• Monitor model performance, detect data drift, and maintain system health through comprehensive observability
• Partner with data science teams to transition experimental models into robust, production-ready systems
• Implement containerisation, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code solutions for ML workloads
• Optimise computational resources, reduce model inference latency, and troubleshoot deployment issues
• Establish operational best practices, documentation, and runbooks across ML platforms

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in ML operations, model deployment, DevOps, or related infrastructure roles
• Proficiency in Python and strong hands-on experience with containerisation (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and automation frameworks
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and managed ML services
• Ability to rapidly learn and adopt new ML operations tools and technologies
• Background in monitoring, logging, and incident response within distributed systems is valued
