Join Continental in Timișoara, TM, RO as a full-time Firefighter – Tires, where you'll play a critical role in protecting our manufacturing operations and team members through expert fire safety management, emergency response, and hazard prevention within our tyre production environment.

The Opportunity

Continental seeks a dedicated and safety-focused professional to serve as a Firefighter specialising in tyre manufacturing operations. In this full-time position based in Timișoara, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest fire safety standards across our facility, responding swiftly to emergency situations, and implementing preventive measures tailored to the unique hazards inherent in tyre production. This role is essential to safeguarding personnel, equipment, and operations within one of Europe's leading automotive supplier facilities.

Core Duties

• Conduct regular fire risk assessments and inspections throughout manufacturing areas, identifying potential ignition sources and combustible material hazards specific to tyre production
• Respond promptly to fire alarms, emergency calls, and safety incidents, providing immediate containment and support whilst coordinating with external emergency services
• Maintain and inspect fire safety equipment, including extinguishers, alarm systems, sprinkler networks, and emergency exits
• Develop and deliver fire safety training and drills for facility staff, ensuring all personnel understand evacuation procedures and equipment use
• Document incidents, maintain detailed safety records, and recommend improvements to fire prevention systems and protocols
• Collaborate with facility management on facility modifications and operational changes to ensure continued compliance with fire codes

Skills & Qualifications

• Current fire safety certification or firefighting qualifications recognised in Romania, or a commitment to obtain them
• Knowledge of fire hazards in industrial manufacturing, particularly tyre production facilities
• Physical fitness and ability to perform emergency response duties in demanding environments
• Strong communication and training abilities to engage diverse teams
• Attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to hazard identification
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) to support international operations
