Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District is seeking an ARD Specialist to provide essential coordination and administrative support for our special education programs. In this full-time role, you'll manage critical ARD meetings, documentation, and compliance functions that directly support students with disabilities and ensure our district meets all federal and state regulatory requirements.

What This Role Involves

The ARD Specialist serves as a key operational resource for special education at the district level. You'll coordinate Admission, Review, and Dismissal meetings; prepare and maintain comprehensive ARD documentation; and ensure all special education procedures align with IDEA, state law, and local board policy. Your attention to detail and organizational leadership will help our campuses deliver compliant, effective special education services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate ARD meetings with teachers, parents, administrators, and special education staff
• Prepare, complete, and file ARD documentation according to federal and state compliance standards
• Maintain organized records systems and ensure all special education files meet regulatory requirements
• Monitor compliance timelines for eligibility determinations, IEP meetings, and procedural reviews
• Support campus staff with questions regarding special education procedures and documentation
• Facilitate communication between special education personnel, general education staff, and families
• Track program placements and service delivery decisions across district campuses

Who We're Looking For

• Valid Texas teaching certificate
• Demonstrated knowledge of special education law, IDEA regulations, and procedural compliance
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional organizational and record-keeping abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict compliance deadlines
• Collaborative approach to working with educators, administrators, and families
