Education Coordinator

Catholic Charities is hiring a full-time Education Coordinator to lead curriculum development and program implementation for our preschool center in El Portal, Miami-Dade County. This exempt position ensures our early childhood education program meets the highest accreditation and performance standards while supporting child development and family engagement.

Role Overview

As Education Coordinator, you'll oversee the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our preschool curriculum. You'll work to ensure the program aligns with NAEYC standards and COA accreditation requirements while maintaining compliance with VPK and Head Start performance benchmarks. Your leadership will create a learning environment where every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive, developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool-aged children
• Oversee daily educational programming and classroom activities across the center
• Monitor program quality and child outcomes against established accreditation and performance standards
• Coordinate with teaching staff to ensure consistent application of curriculum and best practices
• Support teacher professional development and ongoing staff training
• Maintain documentation and records demonstrating program compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with families and communicate child progress and developmental milestones
• Evaluate and select educational materials, resources, and assessment tools

Requirements

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of NAEYC and COA standards and best practices
• Understanding of VPK and Head Start program requirements and performance standards
• Experience in curriculum development and implementation in a preschool setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and administrative staff
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills
