Junior Social Worker – Urgently

Confidential Employer is recruiting a Junior Social Worker to join our in-patient rehabilitation treatment centre in Pretoria North, Pretoria. This full-time position offers the opportunity to deliver therapeutic social work services to individuals in recovery within a professional, multidisciplinary treatment environment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Social Worker to support our rehabilitation treatment facility in Pretoria North. You will provide essential casework and therapeutic interventions to service users undergoing in-patient treatment, working as part of a collaborative clinical team committed to comprehensive client care and sustainable recovery outcomes.

Your Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive client assessments and develop individualised social work intervention plans
• Deliver counselling, psychosocial support, and therapeutic engagement to residents in the treatment programme
• Collaborate with medical, psychological, and nursing staff in multidisciplinary treatment planning
• Manage detailed case records, treatment documentation, and confidential client information
• Facilitate family engagement, social reintegration planning, and community resource coordination
• Contribute to clinical case conferences and treatment review meetings

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work
• Current valid registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP)
• Valid driver's licence
• Valid SAPS Police clearance certificate
• Fluency in Afrikaans (advantageous)
• Knowledge of or interest in substance abuse treatment and recovery (advantageous)
