Our talent team is representing a confidential engineering organization in Munich that develops cutting-edge autonomous systems. We are seeking a Senior Unreal Engine Developer to build synthetic data generation pipelines and AI simulation environments using Unreal Engine 5, C++, and Python.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of real-time 3D development, computer vision, and AI—creating scalable simulation systems that power the next generation of autonomous technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable synthetic data generation pipelines using Unreal Engine 5
  • Design, build, and maintain high-quality Unreal Engine systems using C++, Python, Blueprints, and custom plugins
  • Develop tools and automation to improve simulation workflows and dataset generation
  • Create, integrate, and optimize realistic environments, assets, and rendering pipelines
  • Work extensively with Blender and 3D assets to build high-quality simulation environments
  • Generate synthetic datasets for computer vision applications including object detection, tracking, segmentation, and sensor simulation
  • Collaborate closely with AI, robotics, and computer vision engineers to continuously improve data quality and simulation realism
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and maintainability across the simulation pipeline

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 4+ years of professional experience developing software with Unreal Engine, game engines, simulation platforms, or comparable real-time 3D environments
  • Strong professional experience developing with C++
  • Strong Python programming skills for tooling, automation, and pipeline development
  • Practical experience using Blender for creating, editing, or optimizing 3D assets
  • Solid experience with Unreal Engine 5, including C++ development, plugin development, Blueprints, and asset integration
  • Experience building production-quality software rather than academic or hobby projects
  • Good understanding of rendering pipelines, simulation environments, or synthetic data generation
  • Familiarity with Git and collaborative software development workflows
  • Fluent in English
  • Nationality of a NATO member nation or close ally is required

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with synthetic data generation for AI or computer vision applications
  • Familiarity with robotics, autonomous systems, or simulation environments
  • Experience with procedural generation, digital twins, or geospatial datasets
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS
  • German language skills
  • Extra-curricular leadership or achievements

Personal Attributes:

  • Intrinsic motivation, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving mindset
  • Creative thinker with a structured and systematic approach
