IT-Projektmanager (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential IT consulting organization seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead client-facing technology initiatives. In this role, you will:

• Lead IT projects independently from requirements gathering through go-live at client sites
• Manage scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while maintaining full transparency on progress and action items
• Collaborate with business departments and IT teams to capture, refine, and prioritize requirements
• Guide interdisciplinary teams including consultants, developers, and client staff in a functional leadership capacity (without direct personnel authority)
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients up to management level, handling status reports, steering committees, and escalations
• Proactively identify risks and conflicts, driving decisions rather than simply administering processes
• Shape project management standards, templates, and methodologies within the organization

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Minimum five years of independent IT project leadership experience with full budget and results accountability
• Proven track record delivering multiple projects from kickoff to go-live involving stakeholders from multiple organizations
• Strong command of classical, agile, and hybrid project methodologies with the judgment to select the right approach
• Solid understanding of IT system landscapes, interfaces, and migration initiatives sufficient to evaluate technical decisions (development skills not required)
• Confidence engaging stakeholders at all hierarchical levels, even during critical project phases
• Structured, self-directed working style with the ability to manage multiple parallel projects
• Professional fluency in German and English

Highly advantageous:

• Experience supporting or leading Atlassian tool implementations or migrations
• Background with cloud migrations, tool consolidations, or platform rollouts
• ITIL knowledge
• Project management certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Professional Scrum Master
• Presales experience including effort estimation and proposal development
