Head of Sales EMEA, Public Sector

Responsibilities

Our client, a leading enterprise AI technology company, is seeking a Head of Sales to spearhead public sector growth across EMEA. In this pivotal leadership role, you will:

• Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies driving year-over-year revenue growth in the EMEA public sector market, with a focus on defense
• Lead and mentor the regional public sector sales team to exceed revenue targets and organizational objectives
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with government decision-makers, federal agencies, prime contractors, and industry associations across Germany and EMEA
• Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and regulatory engagements throughout the region
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, leading negotiations and closing high-value enterprise deals
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to align sales efforts with company priorities
• Collaborate with North American and other regional sales teams to establish best practices for enterprise implementations and ensure strong client engagement throughout project lifecycles

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of public sector sales and leadership experience driving go-to-market efforts and revenue growth in fast-paced technology organizations
• Established network in Germany and EMEA region, including federal agencies, prime contractors, and industry associations
• Proven track record leading consultative solution sales and business development efforts with deep understanding of regional procurement cycles, budget processes, and resource allocation
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills with ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence at all organizational levels
• Comfort operating in a matrix environment, coordinating efforts across teams and regions
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently and driving impact as a builder
• Experience in AI or related technology industries highly desirable
• Fluency in English and German required
• Must be based in Germany with willingness to travel 25-35%
