Creative Strategist (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential pet wellness e-commerce client in Cologne. As Creative Strategist, you will transform customer insights into high-performing ads—from concept to conversion.

You'll develop creative strategies, brief editors and designers, manage campaigns in Meta and Google, and use data to decide what scales and what gets cut. You'll work directly with the marketing leadership team.

• Creative strategy for Meta and Google: Develop angles, hooks, and formats grounded in real customer feedback—comments, reviews, direct messages, and support tickets—not guesswork.
• Leverage AI tools: Use Claude, ChatGPT, and similar platforms to accelerate research, analyze customer sentiment, and produce sharper briefs faster.
• Manage production: Create clear concept one-pagers, shoot briefs, and cut briefs so editors, designers, and on-camera talent can execute without back-and-forth.
• Media buying: Set up, manage, test, and scale campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, YouTube/Demand Gen).
• Analyze and iterate: Read performance data with attribution tools and design the next testing cycle.
• Activate creator content: Collaborate with social and creator teams to turn creator material into strong paid ads.
• Stay compliant: Navigate advertising regulations for pet products while maintaining creative excellence.

What we're looking for

• 2–3 years of experience in Paid Social and Paid Search, ideally in DTC or e-commerce
• Hands-on proficiency with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads (Search, PMax, YouTube/Demand Gen)
• Proven track record of owning high-performing creatives with clear explanations of what worked and why
• Daily use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to build custom workflows for research, concept development, and briefing
• Strong instinct for hooks, editing, and copy—you don't need to execute production yourself, but you know what stops the scroll and how to brief it
• Fluency in CAC, ROAS, CTR, and hook rate
• Ownership mindset: you make decisions and stand behind them rather than waiting for permission
• Honesty, even when it's uncomfortable—this is non-negotiable
• German fluency required for this role
