Senior Backend Developer (m/f/d) – Manufacturing

Our client operates a cloud-based platform that transforms how technical components are sourced and managed. They are experiencing rapid growth and need an exceptional Senior Backend Developer to join their Manufacturing domain team in München.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of advanced software engineering and industrial manufacturing, building systems that process complex technical data and deliver measurable efficiency gains across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Develop and extend modern backend applications using.NET/C#, maintaining high code quality through comprehensive testing, code reviews, and documentation
• Maintain and enhance the import pipeline for component and customer data, including clustering logic and customer-facing tool endpoints
• Collaborate closely with Customer Success teams to translate requirements and user feedback into robust technical solutions
• Build and maintain customer data-related APIs, configuration systems, mappings, and settings infrastructure
• Implement and validate new calculation algorithms as business needs evolve
• Manage master data, material databases, standards repositories, and manufacturing data systems
• Provide technical guidance to AI and feature extraction teams working with industrial datasets

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or comparable technical qualification
• Several years of hands-on backend development experience with.NET/C#—you should be highly proficient in this ecosystem
• Comfort working with complex technical and industrial data structures
• Strong understanding of components, technical drawings, manufacturing technologies, and industrial processes—more than surface-level familiarity
• Experience with CAD, PLM, PDM, or ERP data structures is highly valuable
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and agile methodologies
• Structured, solution-oriented problem-solving approach with ability to quickly understand existing architectures
• German language skills strongly preferred given the München location and customer base
