Finance Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization experiencing rapid growth across the UK and European markets. Their regional finance operations need strengthening, and they're seeking a Finance Manager who can own both financial control and commercial business partnering for the region.

This is a hybrid role based in London, requiring someone who can bridge the gap between central finance operations and regional commercial teams. You'll own the accuracy of regional numbers while sitting close enough to leadership to shape decisions before they're made.

Responsibilities

You'll own two equally weighted areas of responsibility:

Regional Financial Control & Compliance:

• Own the integrity of the UK & Europe balance sheet with current, reviewed reconciliations
• Deliver accurate monthly management accounts with clear variance commentary
• Serve as single point of contact for group finance on all regional matters
• Direct external accountants and advisers on Companies House, HMRC and VAT compliance
• Build early-warning processes for compliance risk and escalation
• Manage relationships with accounting, tax and audit advisers

Commercial Business Partnering:

• Partner with UK & Europe leadership on P&L narrative, budget tracking and performance drivers
• Bring commercial perspective to pricing, deal terms and customer economics
• Translate regional performance into decision-ready insights for leadership
• Enable business leaders with self-serve views of their numbers
• Partner with Sales and Customer Success to resolve aged balances and collection issues
• Drive down DSO by addressing root causes in contracting and processes
• Build operating rhythms that turn finance from reactive support into a performance framework
• Strengthen financial controls across spend, approvals and vendor management while maintaining agility

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience:

• Strong commercial and financial acumen across P&L, deal economics and cash impact
• Experience business partnering with Sales, Customer Success or regional leadership in growth environments
• Track record improving collections or DSO through root-cause resolution
• Experience owning spend controls that support rather than only govern business operations
• Comfortable directing statutory compliance and VAT work through external advisers
• High degree of autonomy in small, remote-first global finance teams
• Clear communicator who can engage confidently with commercial leaders and external advisers
• Multi-entity or multi-currency business experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in high-growth SaaS or technology companies
• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
• Exposure to Companies House, HMRC and Irish Revenue processes
• Familiarity with modern finance tooling platforms
