About This Role
We are representing a global leader in compliance technology serving the financial services sector. Our client is looking for a Website AEO Manager based in Ireland who can bridge two critical priorities: driving measurable conversion through their corporate website and establishing the organization as a leader in Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — ensuring their solutions are discovered, understood, and cited by AI-powered search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Gemini.
This is a rare opportunity to own both website performance and an emerging discipline that is reshaping how B2B buyers research and evaluate vendors. You will turn AEO from concept into a company-wide capability, with accountability for results.
Responsibilities
Website & Conversion Optimization
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and day-to-day performance of the corporate website, with conversion as your primary success metric
- Drive conversion rate optimization (CRO) through hypothesis-led A/B and multivariate testing, funnel analysis, and continuous improvement of high-intent user journeys (demo requests, downloads, contact forms)
- Design and optimize landing pages in partnership with demand generation teams to ensure every campaign drives measurable pipeline
- Manage site performance fundamentals: Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile UX, accessibility, and information architecture
- Own the analytics stack (GA4, heatmaps, session tools, CRM reporting) and translate insights into a prioritized backlog of experiments and improvements
- Manage the CMS and coordinate with external developers, designers, or agencies as needed
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Leadership
- Serve as the in-house expert on how AI answer engines discover, interpret, trust, and cite sources — and stay ahead of this fast-evolving discipline
- Make content citable and machine-readable: clear factual answers, structured data and schema markup, entity and topical authority, FAQ and comparison formats, and technical signals for AI crawlers
- Strengthen off-site presence in review platforms, authoritative third-party sources, and digital PR channels so the organization is surfaced credibly beyond its own domain
- Evangelize AEO internally across marketing, product marketing, content, sales, and leadership — translating abstract concepts into concrete, actionable guidance
- Create enablement materials: playbooks, guidelines, and training sessions that help teams write citable content, apply structured data, and align messaging with what engines surface
- Own and prioritize the AEO roadmap: identify high-intent buyer questions, assess current visibility, and sequence content, technical, and off-site initiatives that move the needle fastest
- Build AEO measurement from the ground up: track visibility, mentions, citations, share of voice in AI answers, monitor AI-driven referral traffic, and benchmark against competitors
- Report on AEO performance to marketing leadership and connect results to pipeline influence
What We're Looking For
Required:
- 5+ years in digital marketing, web/SEO, or growth marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS
- Demonstrated CRO results — you have run experiments that measurably improved website performance, not just maintained a site
- Strong SEO foundation that you are actively evolving toward AEO and generative search, with a clear point of view on how AI is changing discovery
- Fluency with web analytics and experimentation tools (GA4, heatmaps, A/B testing platforms) and the ability to turn data into prioritized action
- Hands-on CMS experience and working knowledge of structured data/schema and technical on-page fundamentals
- Excellent communication skills — able to educate non-technical audiences and rally cross-functional teams around new ideas
Nice to Have:
- Experience marketing to financial services, compliance, risk, or other regulated, considered-purchase audiences
- HubSpot CMS and Marketing Hub experience
- Hands-on experience with AEO/GEO tooling and AI-answer monitoring platforms
- Comfort working with developers and managing external agencies
