About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI-powered SaaS client in their search for an Events Lead based in London. This is a rare opportunity to join as the first dedicated events hire at a hyper-growth technology company where in-person events are the primary revenue driver—not an afterthought.

Our client is scaling rapidly, executing 70+ conferences annually across the US, Europe, and Asia, and recently hosted 100 leading technology companies for an exclusive evening event. They are now ready to invest significant capital into building a world-class events function from the ground up.

You will work directly with the founding team to own the entire events strategy: commercial conferences that drive pipeline, flagship gatherings that set industry standards, and technical meetups that attract top-tier AI talent.

Responsibilities

• Own global events strategy end-to-end across go-to-market, talent acquisition, and brand—measuring ROI on every dollar spent
• Lead the company's presence at 70+ industry conferences per year (US, Europe, Asia), including booth strategy, speaking opportunities, and hosted dinners
• Build and execute an annual flagship event from concept through delivery—targeting hundreds of attendees from major technology organizations
• Coordinate curated gatherings: founder dinners, customer roundtables, and product launch moments across London, New York, and Munich
• Design and run hackathons, technical meetups, and university partnerships to attract AI engineers and researchers, partnering closely with the Talent team
• Manage all operational aspects: vendor relationships, budgets, logistics, run-of-show, and post-event follow-up
• Leverage AI tools to scale traditionally high-touch event operations—attendee research, follow-up sequences, content repurposing
• Build event attribution into CRM and ATS platforms (HubSpot, Ashby) with full pipeline tracking

What We're Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Proven track record running memorable events end-to-end—conferences, summits, hackathons, or community events—with measurable outcomes
• Commercial instinct: demonstrated ability to show how events contributed to pipeline, revenue, or hiring metrics with specific numbers
• Exceptional operational rigour managing vendors, budgets, logistics, and follow-up without dropping details
• Comfort coordinating events across multiple continents from a London base, with willingness to travel internationally for key events
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Scrappy, entrepreneurial ownership mindset—nothing is beneath you when it comes to execution
• Natural hosting ability—people talk about your events long after they end

Highly Valued Experience:

• Events experience at a fast-growing B2B SaaS or AI company
• Designed and launched an annual flagship event from scratch (concept, audience, format, brand)
• Technical events: hackathons, meetups, or developer-focused gatherings at an AI or dev-tools company
• Familiarity with professional services or legal/IP industry events
• Fluency with GTM tech stack: HubSpot, Ashby, Zapier/n8n, event platforms (Hopin, Bizzabo, Goldcast)
• Strong brand and creative sensibility; ability to brief designers and own every touchpoint
• Network in AI, tech, or enterprise events communities
