Senior Endpoint Engineer

We are representing a confidential technology organization seeking a Senior Endpoint Engineer to join their team in London. This is a permanent, full-time position working onsite, supporting a large enterprise environment with a focus on modern endpoint management and virtual desktop infrastructure.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Engineer, enhance, and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including image creation, VM deployment, and performance monitoring
• Design and implement Microsoft Intune solutions for application deployment, device compliance, and security configurations
• Manage Windows 11 provisioning processes using Intune Autopilot and Windows Update for Business policies
• Design and manage Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security and configuration policies
• Develop automated solutions for deploying software packages, patches, updates, and workstation images
• Provide expert-level technical support and serve as an escalation point for Desktop Operations teams
• Manage the complete lifecycle of global standard desktop and laptop models
• Package, test, and deploy applications using modern deployment tools
• Implement security best practices and compliance policies within the endpoint ecosystem
• Create comprehensive documentation of configurations, provisioning processes, and support procedures
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to develop integrated solutions

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 8+ years of total IT experience, with 5+ years specifically in designing and implementing Microsoft Intune solutions
• 5+ years of experience as a systems engineer
• Desktop engineering and support experience in an enterprise environment
• Proven expertise with Windows 11, Active Directory structure, and Group Policy management
• Experience managing VDI environments (Azure Virtual Desktop strongly preferred)
• Expert-level knowledge of endpoint protection engineering
• Deep expertise in MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) and Intune
• Advanced patch management skills including BIOS, firmware updates, and service packs
• Experience developing and testing software packages using InstallShield or equivalent tools
• Basic database administration experience, particularly SQL Server
