About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential enterprise organization in London seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer for a 4-month fixed-term contract. This is an onsite role requiring an experienced professional to design, implement, and optimize Microsoft 365 services across a large-scale environment with a focus on collaboration, messaging, identity, security, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Design and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Entra ID
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex identity, collaboration, and messaging issues
- Manage tenant administration, licensing, governance, and user lifecycle management
- Implement and maintain security, compliance, retention, and information protection solutions
- Administer Entra ID, Hybrid Identity, Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Governance
- Manage Exchange Online mail flow, transport rules, messaging security, and hybrid environments
- Develop automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API
- Monitor platform health, performance, security, and adoption trends
- Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business teams on enterprise solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Microsoft 365 roadmap and architecture decisions
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- 7+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering experience
- 5+ years of Microsoft 365 engineering and administration experience
- Strong hands-on expertise in Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Entra ID, and Power Platform
- Experience with Hybrid Identity and Active Directory integration
- Proficiency with Conditional Access and MFA
- Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Retention, and eDiscovery
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API
- Enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environment experience
- Understanding of governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub

- Microsoft Defender for Office 365
- Microsoft Defender XDR
- Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365
- Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI administration
- Multi-tenant/global Microsoft 365 environments
Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
