We are representing a confidential automotive technology organization seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to join their product quality team. This role focuses on the quality assurance of complex electronic vehicle systems, with primary responsibility for root cause analysis, quality improvement initiatives, and cross-functional problem resolution. The position is structured as remote work with regular project assignments in Luxembourg (approximately 30% travel).

Responsibilities

• Lead complex root cause analyses using methodologies including 8D, fault tree analysis, and Ishikawa diagrams for critical product issues
• Identify recurring failure patterns and quality trends, developing sustainable corrective and preventive action plans
• Support development teams in improving product safety, development quality, and process compliance
• Analyze quality and defect data to identify systemic weaknesses and create foundations for targeted optimization
• Coordinate cross-functional teams in addressing internal and customer-facing quality problems, supporting prioritization of critical defects
• Facilitate technical alignment with customers on critical product issues and resulting corrective measures
• Share best practices in structured problem-solving and support continuous improvement of development and quality methodologies

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or comparable technical discipline
• Several years of experience in automotive, automotive electronics, e-mobility, or comparable technical environment
• Initial experience in technical leadership of projects or teams
• Strong knowledge in electronic control unit (ECU) development, ideally in high-voltage inverter systems
• Practical experience with structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, FTA, and Ishikawa, with strong process-oriented thinking
• Knowledge of systems engineering and relevant automotive standards including ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE
• Experience with project, requirements, and ticket management systems such as Microsoft Project, Polarion, DOORS, JIRA, or IBM Rational RTC
• Excellent German and English language skills with intercultural competence
• Willingness to work approximately 30% of time on-site in Luxembourg
