(Senior) Digital Strategist (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential e-commerce organization experiencing rapid growth across European markets. They're seeking a Senior Digital Strategist to join their creative and performance marketing operations in Hamburg.

This isn't a traditional marketing manager role. Our client needs someone who combines creativity, consumer psychology, and strategic thinking to develop performance-driven advertising that generates millions of impressions daily. You'll be central to creative strategy across major social platforms, working with substantial advertising budgets and direct impact on business growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative strategies for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube advertising campaigns
• Create new hooks, angles, and advertising concepts based on consumer psychology principles
• Analyze trends, competitor activity, and viral advertising performance
• Build data-driven hypotheses to improve creative performance metrics
• Write and refine creative briefs for UGC creators, videographers, and editors
• Manage the entire creative process from concept through final execution
• Establish and optimize workflows between performance marketing, brand, UGC, and production teams
• Analyze key performance indicators including Hook Rate, Hold Rate, CTR, CPA, and ROAS, then implement optimization measures
• Independently prioritize and manage creative testing initiatives
• Collaborate closely with performance marketing, video, brand, and design teams
• Identify emerging ad formats, platform trends, and scaling opportunities
• Ensure rapid, high-quality delivery of all creative assets

What We're Looking For

• Multiple years of experience as a Creative Strategist, Creative Manager, or comparable role in performance marketing
• Strong understanding of consumer psychology and purchasing decisions
• Exceptional instinct for creative advertising concepts and viral social media content
• Deep knowledge of current trends across TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and YouTube
• Experience with data-driven optimization of performance creatives
• Strategic thinking combined with ability to efficiently manage creative processes and cross-functional interfaces
• High degree of personal responsibility and hands-on mentality
• Confident working with creative KPIs and performance data
• Structured, solution-oriented, and fast-paced working style
• High quality standards and drive to continuously develop better creatives
• Fluent German language skills (written and spoken) required
• You can recognize within seconds of watching an ad why people continue watching or scroll past
