Technical Sourcer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded aerospace technology company at the intersection of autonomous systems and defense innovation. Our client is building at extraordinary speed, and recruiting is on the critical path to their next major milestone. This is not a passive pipeline role—your work will directly impact production timelines and engineering capacity.

We're looking for a technical sourcer who has been underutilized, someone who finds candidates other people miss and is ready to own outcomes instead of watching others take credit.

Responsibilities

• Own top-of-funnel sourcing for software engineering roles including backend, frontend, autonomy, and forward-deployed positions
• Build and refine Boolean searches that continue producing strong candidates beyond the obvious talent pools
• Write personalized outreach that generates response rates from engineers who ignore most recruiting messages
• Expand into hardware and manufacturing sourcing within your first year—propulsion, structures, avionics, and production engineering roles
• Maintain clean data practices for executive-level reporting and pipeline tracking
• Iterate on messaging and search strategies in real time based on performance data
• Partner directly with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and refine candidate profiles

What We're Looking For

• 1+ years of sourcing or recruiting experience, primarily in software engineering roles
• At least one hire you're genuinely proud of—a candidate no one else would have found—and the ability to explain your exact sourcing methodology
• Strong Boolean search skills and familiarity with GitHub, LinkedIn Recruiter, and alternative sourcing channels
• Exceptional written communication; your entire work product is messages that strangers choose to open or ignore
• High tolerance for iteration and rejection—most outreach goes unanswered, and the job is making the next one better
• Genuine curiosity about how complex hardware systems are built, or at minimum a willingness to learn deeply technical domains
• Comfort operating at high pace in an environment where you'll source roles you don't fully understand yet—and the expectation is that you'll learn them
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations due to export control regulations

Not required: A specific degree, ten years of experience, or a brand-name recruiting background. We care about demonstrated ability to find hard-to-reach talent and learn quickly.

Pay

Our client offers a competitive compensation package including base salary in the range of $120,000–$160,000, meaningful equity, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k), PTO, monthly wellness stipend, and additional perks.
