Senior Marketing Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential wellness apparel organization in their search for a Senior Marketing Manager based in Sydney, Australia. This is a high-impact, hands-on role leading brand marketing across Australia and laying the groundwork for expansion into New Zealand. Reporting to the local Managing Director, you'll localize global strategy while executing press, talent, community, events, and social initiatives that build brand awareness and cultural credibility in the ANZ market.

This position requires someone with genuine connections in the Australian fashion, wellness, and media landscape—the kind of professional who can open doors quickly and knows instinctively what will resonate locally. You'll manage agencies and consultants while working collaboratively across merchandising, retail, and customer service to deliver a seamless brand experience.

Responsibilities

• Translate global marketing strategy into culturally relevant Australian plans that align with brand vision and values
• Own the integrated annual and quarterly marketing calendar, including key moments and New Zealand market preparation
• Lead PR and press strategy, building and maintaining relationships with editors, journalists, and media partners to secure high-quality coverage
• Drive talent and influencer strategy from casting through activation, ensuring authentic, on-brand partnerships
• Build and nurture community through events, activations, studio partnerships, and grassroots programming
• Build and manage a small, high-performing team in a collaborative environment
• Manage local agencies and consultants to a high creative and executional standard
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cohesive brand experience across all touchpoints
• Analyze market trends, cultural shifts, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities
• Manage marketing budget, track performance metrics, and report on campaign effectiveness
• Serve as the market voice to headquarters, sharing insights that improve global strategies

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
• 8+ years of marketing experience with focus on the ANZ market
• Deep expertise in PR, talent and influencer marketing, community building, and social media
• Established network across Australian media, talent, wellness, and fashion communities with the ability to activate relationships
• Exceptional taste and cultural fluency with instinct for what resonates locally
• Scrappy and resourceful approach, comfortable operating hands-on in a lean market team within a global framework
• Proven track record in community building and engagement
• Genuine passion for fitness, wellness lifestyle, and premium activewear
