Senior Go Backend Developer (Dashboard Analytics) (f/m/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential adtech company that has built one of the most effective platforms in mobile advertising. Our client processes over 50 million daily events and serves hundreds of millions of users globally. We're seeking a Senior Go Backend Developer to join their Dashboard Analytics team in Hamburg, Germany.

This is a high-impact role building the systems that transform massive event streams into real-time actionable insights. You'll work on campaign management APIs, analytics engines, and high-throughput data surfaces that drive critical business decisions for advertisers and publishers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production Go services handling 100M+ requests per day
• Process and aggregate billions of daily API events using Kafka and Kinesis streams
• Optimize columnar database queries (Druid) and relational databases (MySQL) for millisecond response times
• Build and maintain well-documented partner-facing APIs for raw and aggregated data access
• Profile and optimize Go applications to ensure performance at scale
• Own services end-to-end in a Kubernetes-based environment
• Collaborate with frontend engineers working in TypeScript and React

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years software development experience with 3+ years building production Go services
• Proven experience with high-traffic systems processing 100M+ daily requests
• Strong proficiency in distributed systems and microservice architectures
• Hands-on experience with event buses like Kafka, SQS, or SNS for asynchronous communication
• Working knowledge of columnar databases (Druid preferred) and MySQL query optimization
• Understanding of data storage versus query patterns at scale
• Experience with infrastructure tools like Terraform, Docker, or serverless platforms is a plus
• Commitment to data transparency and building partner-facing APIs
• Based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg, Germany (relocation support available)
