Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential B2B software organization specializing in industrial IT solutions. Our talent team is seeking an experienced C Developer to work on system-level Windows and storage development.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining disk-imaging core components in C
• Working at the system level with Windows kernel and file systems
• Ensuring stability and data integrity in live production environments
• Advancing security-critical components including encryption functionality
• Optimizing performance of memory- and I/O-intensive code
• Collaborating closely with the development team on architectural decisions for storage and backup solutions

What We're Looking For

Required Skills and Experience:

• Several years of experience in system-level C development
• Hands-on experience with Windows low-level programming (kernel, drivers, or file systems)
• Strong understanding of memory management and performance-critical code
• Experience working with live production systems where stability is paramount
• Independent, meticulous working style with willingness to learn new topics
• Preference for technical depth over rapid feature development
• Strong communication skills, including in remote team environments
• Excellent German language skills (written and spoken) and good English proficiency

Nice to Have:

• Experience with storage or backup software
• Knowledge of cryptography and encryption methods
• Familiarity with industrial OT environments or industrial PCs
• Basic Linux knowledge
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
