Capital Markets Associate

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential AI infrastructure organization in their search for a Capital Markets Associate based in Berlin. In this role, you will work directly with the CFO to manage the full financing lifecycle across equity, debt, and strategic partnerships.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Source and cultivate relationships with equity investors (VC, growth equity, sovereign wealth funds), debt providers (commercial banks, infrastructure funds, asset-backed lenders), and strategic partners
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support fundraising activities, including DCF analyses, returns modeling, and project finance frameworks for infrastructure assets
• Structure and negotiate term sheets, credit facilities, and co-investment arrangements with various capital providers
• Manage the data room, prepare investor materials, and coordinate all due diligence processes for capital raises
• Monitor capital markets activity, benchmark capital structure against industry peers, and provide strategic recommendations on financing timing and instruments
• Support applications for grants and subsidies from European programs where applicable

What We're Looking For

• 2-4 years of experience in investment banking (coverage or capital markets), infrastructure finance, project finance, private credit, or growth equity
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling and structuring across both equity and debt instruments
• Proven track record managing investor or lender relationships
• Understanding of infrastructure economics, asset-backed financing, or technology capital markets
• Fluent in English; German language skills are advantageous
• Strong conviction about opportunities in European technology infrastructure development
