Senior Accountant (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential consulting organization in the DACH region that requires a Senior Accountant to join their Finance & Controlling team in Heidelberg. Our talent team is seeking an experienced accounting professional who will take ownership of financial reporting for select entities and contribute to the ongoing development of finance processes across the organization.

This is a responsible position within an internationally successful headquarters environment, offering hybrid working flexibility and the opportunity to work with external auditors, tax advisors, and internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare financial statements for one or more entities within the group across the DACH region
• Support the preparation of consolidated reporting and balance sheet analyses
• Manage general ledger accounting including account reconciliations
• Ensure proper booking of all business transactions in compliance with HGB standards
• Serve as point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, and internal business units
• Support optimization and standardization of finance processes
• Participate in finance and accounting projects
• Monitor compliance with legal and internal regulatory requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Completed business degree with focus on Accounting or certification as Bilanzbuchhalter/in
• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, ideally in an international environment
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and statement preparation according to HGB
• Very good SAP FI/CO skills and proficient use of MS Excel
• Very good German and good English language skills
• Initial project experience
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style
