Senior HR Generalist (2-year contract)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential multinational organization seeking a Senior HR Generalist for a 2-year contract in Berlin. This role will provide comprehensive HR support across German operations, managing the full employee lifecycle within an established international HR framework.

Responsibilities

• Administer all aspects of the employee lifecycle from onboarding through separation, ensuring compliance with German regulations and company procedures
• Partner with recruitment teams to coordinate seamless employee onboarding experiences
• Manage employee absence, leave administration, and coordinate documentation for payroll processing
• Support performance evaluation programs and coordinate relevant training initiatives
• Implement and localize HR policies while maintaining compliance with local legislation
• Process relocations and transfers, including visa applications and payroll transitions
• Maintain HRIS integrity and employee file management, including system implementation
• Generate standard HR reports covering turnover, benefits, and other metrics
• Administer benefit plans in accordance with German regulations and company standards
• Support employee relations procedures including grievances and disciplinaries, arranging meetings and documenting outcomes
• Provide operational HR support across multiple German office locations

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4 years of HR experience within a multinational environment
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably with specialization in Human Resources
• Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
• Working knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday
• Strong understanding of benefits and compensation principles
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving competencies
• Ability to work independently and produce high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical mindset with flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed
