Associate Data Scientist (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a well-funded real estate technology organization in the DACH region. As an Associate Data Scientist, you will develop and refine data-driven models that support ESG and asset management decisions.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Developing analytical, machine-learning, and simulation models to address business problems in real estate and energy performance
• Building and improving data extraction pipelines for structured and unstructured sources, with ongoing assessment of extraction accuracy
• Exploring and evaluating new data sources to strengthen model performance
• Validating model outputs against real-world data and domain expert feedback to ensure reliability
• Collaborating with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Documenting models and analyses to ensure reproducibility and knowledge transfer

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a Data Scientist with 1–2 years of hands-on experience who can take ownership of well-defined analytical problems and deliver robust, validated solutions.

Required qualifications:

• Degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, or a related field
• 1–2 years of relevant experience with programming, ideally in Python, through projects involving physics-based modeling, machine learning, or data pipelines
• Structured, independent problem-solving approach
• Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Professional proficiency in English

Bonus experience:

• Optimization methods, LLM-based data extraction, or uncertainty and sensitivity analysis
• Real estate, building physics, or energy systems domain knowledge
• Tools for physical simulation or energy modeling
• TypeScript for product prototyping
• German language skills
