About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential industrial technology organization seeking an experienced Electronic Data Interchange Consultant to join their integration team. This is a remote position based in Germany, specifically serving operations in the Eschborn area. Our talent team is working with a client that values deep technical expertise in EDI standards and automotive sector integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain EDI solutions using EDIFACT, VDA, Odette, and ANSI X12 standards
- Develop and manage mapping technologies for structured data exchange
- Configure and support communication protocols including AS2, OFTP2, HTTPS, SOAP, and REST
- Operate and optimize EDI platforms, ideally with experience in Axway TSIM, SAP PO, or SAP Integration Suite
- Handle automotive-specific message types such as DELFOR, DELJIT, DESADV, and INVOIC
- Integrate ERP systems with focus on SAP MM, SD, Logistics, and Finance modules
- Support end-to-end order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay processes
- Work with cloud integration platforms and hybrid integration scenarios
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in EDI and system integration
- Strong expertise with EDIFACT, VDA, Odette, and ANSI X12 standards
- Proficiency in XML, XSLT, and structured data exchange formats
- Experience with API-based integration and communication protocols (AS2, OFTP2, HTTPS, SOAP, REST)
- Background in industrial companies, ideally automotive sector
- Knowledge of current VDA and ANSI X12 standards
- Strong understanding of SAP processes across Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, Logistics, and Finance
- Experience integrating ERP systems with external partners
- German language skills at business fluent or negotiation level
- English language skills at business fluent or negotiation level
- Experience with Axway TSIM, SAP PO, or SAP Integration Suite is a strong advantage
