(Senior) Manufacturing Engineer – High-Voltage Battery (all genders)

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential aerospace technology organization, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and scale production processes for advanced high-voltage battery systems used in electric aircraft propulsion. You will design, optimize, and validate manufacturing processes for battery module and pack assembly, working hands-on in a dynamic production environment. Your responsibilities include collaborating with design teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability, specifying and implementing specialized production equipment and automation systems, and creating comprehensive documentation including process descriptions, work instructions, and training materials.

You will develop and maintain workstations and tooling to support safe operations, ensuring all equipment meets aerospace manufacturing standards and local safety regulations. As the operation scales, you will support the transition from manual to semi-automated and fully automated production lines. Additional duties include leading root cause analysis for process-related issues, driving continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, and planning facility upgrades focused on layout optimization, workflow efficiency, and equipment integration.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably with battery systems or aerospace components
• Strong understanding of manufacturing principles, process validation, and equipment integration
• Hands-on experience in production environments with high-voltage systems, thermal management, and battery safety protocols
• Proficiency with CAD tools and manufacturing documentation systems
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and quality control systems
• Strong project management skills with ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously within defined timelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders, equipment vendors, and contractors
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus
• A driven, proactive problem-solver who thrives on challenging assumptions and advancing technology
