Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential organization seeking an IT Systems Administrator for a home-office position. In this role, you will:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers in virtualized environments using VMware and Hyper-V
• Manage LAN/WAN networks, including switches, routers, and firewalls while monitoring network performance and security
• Develop and maintain backup strategies and disaster recovery plans
• Handle installation, configuration, and updates of enterprise software, including license management
• Deploy monitoring solutions such as Nagios or Zabbix to oversee system availability and performance, proactively identifying potential issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures
• Support planning and implementation of IT projects, including migrations, system rollouts, and cloud solutions

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training as IT Specialist for System Integration or comparable qualification
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in systems administration
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Expertise in networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, and VPN
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Proficiency with backup solutions, particularly Veeam
• Understanding of security solutions including firewalls
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Team player with the ability to work independently and strong communication skills
