Senior Program Manager – Data Security & Information Governance

About This Opportunity

We are representing a leading enterprise SaaS organization seeking a Senior Program Manager, Data Security & Information Governance to establish and scale their enterprise information governance program. This role sits at the critical intersection of legal compliance, data operations, and technology, bridging business strategy with technical execution.

Rather than acting as a traditional gatekeeper, you will build and manage a "Data Front Door"—a centralized framework that enables teams to discover data rights, request entitlements, and explore novel data use cases safely and efficiently. You'll work across legal, security, and engineering teams to transform complex compliance requirements into frictionless, self-service workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage a centralized intake and triage process for custom data access requests, novel data questions, and complex derivative work inquiries
• Establish a centralized Use Case Repository and Data Marketplace detailing pre-approved data uses, restrictions, and licensing parameters across distinct datasets
• Partner with engineering and security teams to implement automated data classification, lineage tracking, and metadata harvesting
• Collaborate with Information Security to operationalize legal requirements into enforced technical access controls (RBAC/ABAC) and row/column-level security protocols
• Drive governance adoption by measuring program success through KPIs, request turnaround times, and governance maturity metrics
• Deliver self-service documentation and onboarding materials across the organization
• Stay ahead of evolving data privacy laws, security architectures, and AI/ML data use cases to keep governance models modern and flexible

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Security, Data Operations, or Information Architecture within a high-growth technology or SaaS organization
• Deep understanding of data privacy and security frameworks including HIPAA, GDPR, and CCPA
• Direct experience setting up, configuring, or administering enterprise data governance and catalog tools such as Collibra, Alation, DataGalaxy, or Atlan
• Technical aptitude with cloud data ecosystems (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS/GCP), SQL, and data security mechanisms including hashing, tokenization, and differential privacy
• Demonstrated ability to create business-friendly, self-service workflows that accelerate R&D and AI/ML initiatives while ensuring strict compliance
• Preferred certifications: CDMP, CIPP/US, CIPT, CDPSE, CISSP, or CISM
• Proven capability to bridge legal compliance with technical access controls, working seamlessly alongside engineering, security, and product teams
• Proactive execution style with initiative to define solutions in ambiguous regulatory or operational spaces

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $135,000–$178,000 USD annually, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. This position is remote within the USA.
