About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential fintech organization backed by Y Combinator and based in Munich. They are seeking an Entrepreneur in Residence to work directly with senior technical leadership on high-impact initiatives that span customer integrations, product discovery, and internal tooling.

This is a hands-on, ownership-driven role. You will tackle loosely defined problems, build prototypes, lead strategic customer engagements, and turn ambiguous challenges into clear action. As you demonstrate results, your scope can expand into product development, engineering workflows, or AI adoption across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic customer initiatives from discovery through delivery, acting as a technical delegate in customer engagements and translating recurring needs into product direction
• Drive product and technical discovery by turning open questions into specifications, evaluating build-versus-buy decisions, and researching technical options
• Improve engineering workflows by removing friction from onboarding, permissions, tooling, and internal infrastructure
• Lead practical AI adoption by testing new tools and workflows, measuring impact on speed and quality, and training the team on effective applications
• Scope integrations, prototype product ideas, and deliver results on changing priorities as the business evolves

What We're Looking For

• You have built something from scratch and taken responsibility for the outcome
• You are comfortable working through ambiguity without waiting for detailed instructions
• You can understand software architecture, build prototypes, and work with modern AI and LLM tools
• You have hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and integration-heavy systems
• You have worked at startup speed, whether as a founder, early engineer, forward-deployed engineer, or in a Founder's Office or Chief of Staff role
• You communicate clearly in German and English
• You want to take on more responsibility as you grow
• Experience with ERP integrations, fintech, developer tooling, or customer-facing technical work is a plus

Location: Munich, Germany – five days per week in-office
