Business Development Representative (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential security technology organization in their search for a Business Development Representative based in Munich. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help build an outbound pipeline generation function from scratch, working alongside Account Executives, Marketing, and Revenue Operations teams.

As one of the first dedicated BDRs in this role, you'll do more than just book meetings—you'll have the opportunity to influence prospecting strategies, test new approaches, and shape a scalable sales development motion. This position is ideal for someone who wants to build rather than follow an established playbook.

Responsibilities

• Generate qualified pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow-up, and account-based engagement strategies
• Research target accounts, identify buying signals, and initiate meaningful conversations with decision-makers
• Continuously improve sales development messaging, motion, and prospecting approaches
• Qualify opportunities and ensure high-quality handovers to Account Executives
• Collaborate with Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Sales Leadership to optimize pipeline generation and conversion rates
• Leverage modern sales technology, AI-powered tools, and data-driven insights to work efficiently and improve performance

What We're Looking For

• Initial experience in a BDR, SDR, Sales Development, Inside Sales, or similar customer-facing commercial role
• Confidence engaging with prospects and building meaningful business conversations
• Curiosity, coachability, and genuine interest in SaaS, technology, and modern sales methodologies
• Structured, proactive working style with strong sense of ownership
• Resilience, ambition, and desire to continuously develop commercial skills
• Excitement about building something new rather than following an established playbook
• Strong communication skills in both German and English
