EHS Manager*in (m/w/d) – Umweltschutz, Gesundheit & Sicherheit | Bexbach | Vollzeit

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential pharmaceutical manufacturing organization seeking an EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety initiatives at their facility in Bexbach. This is not an administrative role—you will shape EHS strategy with direct input to plant leadership and executive management.

Your responsibilities include:

• Serving as the designated EHS officer with legal responsibilities for consultation, monitoring, and documentation
• Advising executive management and production teams on occupational health, safety, environmental protection, and energy management
• Organizing annual reports for management and regulatory authorities
• Managing ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 systems including documentation, KPIs, legal registers, and audits
• Coordinating with regulatory agencies on permit applications and facility inspections
• Supporting funding and approval applications under relevant environmental and energy regulations
• Leading continuous improvement of the site EHS management system
• Collaborating with external consultants and dangerous goods officers
• Conducting risk assessments and creating operating instructions for hazardous materials and safety equipment
• Ensuring compliance with occupational and environmental laws while managing EHS budgets
• Co-developing the strategic EHS roadmap in alignment with plant leadership
• Designing and delivering training programs and managing internal and external EHS audits

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Completed engineering degree (safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field) or relevant vocational training with several years of professional experience and specialized certifications
• Multiple years of relevant professional experience, ideally in industrial environments
• Completed training as a safety specialist according to DGUV 2 requirements
• Fluent German and strong English skills, both written and spoken

Preferred qualifications:

• Fire safety officer certification
• High flexibility and commitment
• Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for teamwork

This is a full-time position based in Bexbach, available immediately.
