Engineered Wood Products – Takeoff Specialist

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential building products distribution organization seeking a Takeoff Specialist to join their Engineered Wood Products team. In this role, you will serve as the critical liaison between customers and service providers, ensuring accurate and timely takeoff deliverables while managing customer requirements and pre-construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily information flow between customers and service providers by triaging requests, clarifying scope, and ensuring complete inputs for takeoffs and pre-construction deliverables
• Manage customer requirements and expectations at general and job-specific levels, including pre-construction notes, takeoff outputs, job status updates, and revision requests
• Coordinate change management for active jobs by tracking revisions, confirming impacts to scope and schedule, and communicating updates to all stakeholders
• Manage customer setup processes and ongoing account maintenance, including intake of required information, system configuration, standards updates, and documentation of customer-specific preferences
• Maintain multiple jobs simultaneously while tracking status, priorities, revisions, and deadlines

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (relevant experience in estimating, takeoffs, or construction operations may be considered in lieu of degree)
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills with the ability to set expectations, communicate clearly, and resolve issues quickly
• Highly organized approach to managing multiple concurrent projects with attention to status tracking and deadlines
• Ability to interpret construction documentation and translate requirements into clear pre-construction notes and takeoff-ready inputs including plans, scopes, and specifications
• Proficiency with business systems and job tracking tools such as CRM platforms, ticketing systems, and spreadsheets
• Detail-oriented with strong written documentation skills to ensure complete handoffs and consistent execution of customer-specific requirements
