QA Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a remote QA Engineer based in India. Our client has been delivering quality products and services for nearly two decades and is expanding their IT capabilities through a trusted Employer of Record model.

This full-time position reports to the QA Team Lead and focuses on ensuring software quality through automated testing of web and mobile applications using Cypress and Appium. You'll work Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Indian Standard Time (4:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time) to collaborate effectively with teams across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and validate system test cases for web-based and mobile applications
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans and set up test environments
• Understand and execute test scripts for database validation
• Validate end-to-end functionality and enhancement requests
• Resolve technical and business issues using analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
• Build cross-functional partnerships with Developers, Project Managers, and UX Designers
• Collaborate with leadership to implement effective testing solutions that maximize customer experience

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of QA engineering experience, or 6+ years of equivalent experience without a degree
• 3+ years of programming experience in Java, JavaScript, and SQL
• 2+ years of web automation experience utilizing page object modeling (POM) with proficiency in Cypress
• Experience in API testing (automated and manual) for web, backend, and mobile applications using REST/RestAssured and Microservices
• Familiarity with test automation tools including MySQL, Postman, and Eclipse IDE
• High-level proficiency in written and verbal English communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in e-commerce environments
• 2+ years of mobile automation experience using Appium
• Additional experience with WebDriver IO, Mocha, and Chai
• Web automation experience with Selenium and Cucumber
• Experience using AI platforms to increase productivity

Pay

The client has indicated an expected starting salary range of $18,482 to $23,103 USD annually, within a full position range of $18,482 to $27,723 USD. Starting offers typically fall in the minimum to middle portion of the range based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
