Chief Technology and Product Officer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in Europe that is seeking a Chief Technology and Product Officer to lead their combined product and engineering organization through an exciting growth phase. Following a recent acquisition, our client now operates an end-to-end data pipeline and is building toward a unified, AI-native platform. This is a rare opportunity to join at the leadership table and shape the technical and product direction of a high-scale infrastructure business.

You will report directly to the CEO and own strategy across a 25+ person product and engineering team spanning multiple countries and time zones. This role demands both strategic vision and hands-on technical depth—you'll need to understand the infrastructure down to the operational layer while defining where the product goes next.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end product and technology strategy across scraping infrastructure, proxy networks, and structured data API products
• Lead, scale, and develop a 25+ person product and engineering organization, building the management structure it needs as it grows
• Set technical architecture direction for high-scale, high-reliability infrastructure, including proxy management, anti-bot evasion, and large-scale scraping systems
• Drive AI and modern ML tooling into both the product itself and how the team builds and ships it
• Define and execute one unified product roadmap across merged product lines
• Represent product and technology to the board, working closely with the CEO and commercial leadership to keep product direction and business strategy aligned
• Stay close enough to the code and infrastructure to troubleshoot, fix, or challenge technical decisions when it matters
• In your first 3-6 months: get hands-on with proxy dynamics and anti-bot evasion, build real fluency in the product and backend, and bring infrastructure together on a coherent technical roadmap

What We're Looking For

• Experience leading product and/or engineering at a highly technical company (CTO, CPO, VP Engineering or similar), at a 25+ person organization or larger
• Real hands-on depth in web scraping, proxies, or closely adjacent infrastructure—you understand the operational reality of this space
• A genuine track record with AI/ML, both shaping AI-powered product capability and pushing AI-native ways of working through an engineering team
• Experience owning product vision and technical architecture together, not just one side of that line
• Comfort operating at board level: a clear communicator who can hold their own with an ambitious, hands-on CEO and knows when to push back
• Bonus: experience integrating product lines after a merger or acquisition

Pay

Compensation will be discussed during the screening process and is location-adjusted to target local market medians for a remote-first environment.
