Account Manager – Groceries & Retail

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential food-delivery technology organization seeking an Account Manager - Groceries & Retail in Paris. In this role, you will own the success of a portfolio of grocery and retail partnerships, driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Managing and optimizing the growth and profitability of an assigned portfolio of retail partners while meeting operational and commercial sales targets
• Developing joint business plans with key accounts, establishing routines around pricing, product range, rollout strategies, operations, and technology reviews to grow partnerships
• Leading the deployment and expansion of your portfolio, negotiating marketing campaigns as part of joint business planning
• Conducting daily performance analysis using marketplace data to identify issues and continuously improve service levels
• Creating and refining operational processes to support rapid scaling, including building tools and best-practice guides for account management
• Ensuring compliance with contractual commitments across your partner portfolio
• Building privileged, long-term partnerships by bringing expertise in marketplace dynamics, food technology, and strategic account management

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a candidate with:

• 3-6 years of experience in account management or commercial roles; experience with major retail chains is highly valued
• Commercial acumen: proven negotiation skills, ability to anticipate commercial discussions, and capacity to maintain portfolio quality through contract discussions and commercial tool implementation
• Strategic thinking: ability to step back, analyze unstructured problems, and propose actionable solutions with measurable results
• Analytical capabilities: skilled at synthesizing data, diving deep into metrics, and understanding performance drivers for retail partners
• Proactive mindset: enthusiasm for field work and hands-on involvement in all operational aspects of your territory
• Customer-centric approach: obsession with client success using both quantitative and qualitative data to build operationally excellent services
• Fluency in French and English (required)
