Senior Group Treasury Systems Manager

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential global organisation in their search for a Senior Group Treasury Systems Manager. This high-impact role will shape and deliver the future of treasury technology at scale, supporting strategic transformation initiatives across multiple regions.

In this position, you will lead the management, optimisation, and transformation of a complex global treasury systems landscape. You'll partner with treasury, finance, technology, regional teams, and external partners to drive automation, enhance controls, improve reporting, and deliver major system initiatives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the treasury systems strategy, roadmap, and transformation agenda, driving optimisation and enhancement of treasury technology across the organisation
• Delivering large-scale transformation initiatives including system upgrades, automation, integrations, data governance, and process standardisation
• Overseeing the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and solution design through to testing, implementation, governance, and post-go-live support
• Partnering closely with treasury, finance, IT, banking partners, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives
• Acting as the key liaison between treasury and technology teams, translating business requirements into scalable technology solutions
• Managing treasury systems governance, service delivery, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement activities
• Maintaining a robust control environment ensuring systems, processes, and data align with governance and risk management requirements
• Championing innovation by leveraging automation, analytics, and AI-driven solutions to enhance treasury processes and decision-making
• Driving improvements in data quality, reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and business insight
• Supporting strategic cash management, liquidity, and treasury transformation initiatives on a global scale
• Developing and embedding scalable support models, processes, and best practices to enable efficient treasury operations worldwide
• Monitoring emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for capability enhancement

What We're Looking For

Essential experience and skills:

• Proven experience implementing, managing, or supporting Treasury Management Systems within a corporate or financial services environment
• Strong experience with Treasury Management Systems, ideally ION IT2
• Expertise in treasury technology, banking connectivity, and system integrations including SWIFT, APIs, and host-to-host solutions
• Strong understanding of UK and international treasury operations including cash management, liquidity, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated project management expertise with a track record of delivering complex transformation and systems initiatives on time and within budget
• Advanced analytical skills including strong proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and data-driven decision-making
• Experience integrating treasury platforms with ERPs, banking systems, and payment networks is highly advantageous
• A proactive problem solver with strong focus on process optimisation, controls, and continuous improvement
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a global, fast-paced team environment
• Appreciation of emerging technologies including the application of AI to enhance treasury operations

Location: London (hybrid working arrangement, typically four days per week in office)
