Intern, Fundraising Systems Support-Remote within Central Time Zone

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential nonprofit organization in their search for an Intern to support Fundraising Systems during their peak event season. This is a paid internship offering hands-on experience with fundraising technology, data management, and nonprofit operations from January through May 2027.

You'll gain practical exposure to fundraising platforms, event support processes, and customer service while contributing to mission-driven work during a high-volume fundraising period.

Responsibilities

• Learn and work within fundraising platforms including Luminate and Givergy, gaining practical knowledge of nonprofit technology systems
• Perform accurate data entry, record maintenance, and database updates to support fundraising activities during peak social event season
• Monitor shared email inbox and route or respond to internal customer service requests professionally and efficiently
• Review and pre-screen email blast requests for completeness before forwarding for processing
• Participate in pre-event planning calls to understand fundraising operations and event technology support
• Maintain and organize fundraising and event-related data to ensure accuracy across systems
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve routine data and system-related issues
• Follow established operational procedures, data standards, and best practices
• Provide administrative support and assist with special projects as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Current college senior or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Event Management, or related field (preferred)
• Strong aptitude for learning new software and technology platforms
• Experience with data entry and data management
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Interest in nonprofit operations, fundraising technology, and mission-driven organizations
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel
• Strong one-on-one and group communication skills with the ability to work professionally across different staff levels
• Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:30am-5pm Central Standard Time
• Reliable WiFi connection for remote work
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship; work must be performed within the United States
