Responsibilities
We are representing a confidential quantitative trading firm seeking an AI Researcher to join their advanced modeling team in London. In this role, you will develop and refine large-scale machine learning models that process market data to generate predictive insights. Your work will directly influence trading strategies and business outcomes.
You will have significant autonomy to explore research directions you believe will deliver the greatest impact. Working within a lean, focused team with minimal overhead, you'll be supported by cutting-edge GPU infrastructure and experienced engineering colleagues who help bring your ideas to production. Your contributions will span the entire modeling pipeline: data featurization, architecture design, training optimization, and integration with decision-making systems.
What We're Looking For
- Two or more years of professional deep learning research experience in any domain (robotics, biology, chemistry, physics, audio, video, or related fields)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt and translate methods across different application areas
- LLM experience is beneficial but not required
- Strong engineering capabilities, particularly in: GPU kernel development, low-level PyTorch/JAX, intermediate C++, FPGA/ASIC work, or high-performance computing
