About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential insurance organization in Mexico that requires an experienced Data Management Specialist to join their team. Our client is a major player in the insurance sector, and this role offers an excellent opportunity to work on critical regulatory reporting and data quality initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Review regulatory requirements for statutory plans and translate them into internal data reporting requirements
- Develop and prepare new reports and applications using multiple information sources
- Evaluate reported information for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness
- Maintain and provide support for existing analytical tools and applications
- Communicate with actuaries, accountants, product managers, and IT teams regarding data and business requirements
- Prepare internal and external correspondence related to information development and understanding
- Research proposed solutions for data quality issues and new reporting applications
- Implement process efficiencies and automation solutions
- Assist in cross-training and development of other team members
What We're Looking For
Required Experience:
- 1-3 years minimum experience in this field (4-6 years preferred)
- Insurance industry background required
- Data reporting experience strongly preferred
- Fluent English proficiency required
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Accounting/Audit/Finance, Actuarial Science/Math, Insurance, or Data Management
Technical Skills:
- Excel: 3+ years
- SQL: 3+ years
- SAS EG: Entry level (1-3 years)
- PowerPoint: 2+ years
- Power BI: 2+ years
- Python: 2+ years
- Data Quality Checks and Balances: 2+ years
- Data Analysis and Trending: 3+ years
- Reporting Automation: 2+ years
Additional Skills:
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Advanced communication and collaboration skills
- Entry-level project management experience
