Head of People Partnering & Development

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-growing fintech organization seeking a Head of People Partnering & Development to lead the integration of HR business partnering and talent development across multiple European markets.

In this role, you will report to the VP People and work closely with executive leadership to:

• Build and execute a unified roadmap connecting HR business partnering with people development initiatives
• Support organizational challenges tied to growth, international expansion, and AI-driven transformation
• Advise and challenge senior leaders on organizational design, management effectiveness, and talent strategy
• Develop a data-driven People function with clear KPIs around turnover, engagement, performance, and capability
• Ensure cohesive HR approaches across France, Germany, and Spain while respecting local nuances
• Manage and develop a team of approximately 11 professionals across HRBP and People Development functions
• Lead Learning & Development strategy, performance cycles, calibrations, and talent reviews
• Structure career paths, job grading, leveling frameworks, and succession planning
• Oversee manager development programs and drive initiatives related to engagement and recognition
• Anticipate the impact of AI on roles, skills, and organizational structure, supporting adoption across teams

What We're Looking For

Our client needs a strategic HR leader with 8 to 12 years of experience, including at least 3 to 4 years in a leadership capacity such as:

• Head of People or Chief People Officer in a tech company with 200–600 employees
• Head of HRBP in a scaling organization or large enterprise
• A senior role where you built HR infrastructure, recruited teams, and partnered with executives through growth phases

Key competencies:

• Deep understanding of business and organizational challenges
• Ability to influence and constructively challenge executive stakeholders
• Talent for aligning distinct HR disciplines into a coherent operating model
• Structured, data-driven, results-oriented mindset
• Curiosity about AI, new technologies, and their application in People functions
• Managerial courage, humility, and a collaborative spirit

Preferred experience:

• International HR leadership (multi-country scope)
• Practical application of AI tools in an HR context
• Fluency in English and French (German or Spanish a plus)

This position covers approximately 1,100 employees across three countries and involves close collaboration with senior executives, department heads, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Legal, and Compensation.
