About This Opportunity

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential DeFi organization seeking a Product Manager to guide protocol development and strategy. This role sits at the intersection of blockchain infrastructure, lending markets, and ecosystem growth, working with a protocol team to define what gets built and why.

You will own product direction for core protocol initiatives, translating user needs and technical possibilities into a clear roadmap that balances complexity, impact, and market opportunity. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving environment where your decisions will shape how financial infrastructure evolves.

Responsibilities

  • Own the protocol roadmap, defining the highest-impact problems to solve and sequencing opportunities against organizational goals, user needs, technical constraints, and ecosystem dynamics
  • Build and run continuous discovery with curators, distributors, integrators, developers, and protocol users to understand workflows, pain points, and emerging needs
  • Translate user and market insights into clear product requirements, decision frameworks, and success criteria that enable protocol and engineering teams to move quickly with strong rationale
  • Partner closely with protocol, engineering, research, security, legal, solutions, partnerships, and marketing to take initiatives from exploration through design, implementation, audit, launch, and adoption
  • Evaluate product and technical tradeoffs, including when to extend the protocol, improve surrounding infrastructure, enable partners, or deliberately avoid adding complexity
  • Define and track signals that show whether protocol initiatives are working, combining quantitative data with ecosystem feedback to guide iteration and future investment
  • Communicate product direction, decisions, tradeoffs, and release implications clearly to internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Improve how product decisions are made and documented as the protocol ecosystem scales

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years building technical products in complex or fast-changing environments
  • Proven track record taking products or major features from ambiguous problem spaces through launch and iteration
  • Strong technical fluency with ability to reason about system design and constraints, engage deeply with engineers and researchers, and translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
  • Excellent product judgment: ability to distinguish important user problems from requests, make principled tradeoffs, and focus teams on the work with greatest impact
  • Strong user discovery and synthesis skills, with ability to uncover needs across different user types and turn incomplete or conflicting inputs into clear direction
  • Experience leading cross-functional work without relying on formal authority
  • Ability to define success, use quantitative and qualitative evidence, and adapt direction as new information emerges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, especially in async environments
  • Comfort creating clarity and driving decisions in highly ambiguous contexts
  • Strong ownership and autonomy with team-first mindset and low ego

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in crypto, DeFi, traditional finance, or fintech
  • Familiarity with lending markets, smart contracts, or permissionless protocols
  • Experience shipping products with significant security, audit, regulatory, or governance considerations
