(Senior) Compliance & Legal Manager (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

Our talent team is representing a confidential engineering software organization seeking a Senior Compliance & Legal Manager. In this role, you will:

• Draft, review, and negotiate framework agreements, individual contracts, and general terms and conditions with customers and suppliers; manage and adapt ongoing contractual relationships
• Provide support on all corporate contract law and commercial law matters
• Develop and refine contractual standards and handle all legal processes
• Create internal policies and guidelines in areas including information security, data protection, and export control
• Build new risk management systems and enhance existing frameworks
• Manage and coordinate data protection topics
• Establish IP management (including trademark law) and oversee patent management activities
• Monitor legal requirements and implement national laws and European regulations and directives
• Support compliance management and product conformity initiatives
• Assist with export control and conduct export control reviews, particularly regarding defense-related goods
• Manage insurance matters
• Take on special projects as needed

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Business Law, International Business Law, or comparable qualification
• Ideally, relevant professional experience in the legal department of an internationally operating company
• Knowledge in international commercial law, IP law, IT law, data protection, and export control law
• Structured and goal-oriented work approach with the willingness to develop topics independently and drive them forward proactively
• Strong social competence and team collaboration skills
• Very good English skills; German proficiency required for this Karlsruhe-based position
