(Senior) Financial Accountant Real Estate (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential real estate investment organization based in München, is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will:

• Independently manage day-to-day financial accounting for property portfolios and holding entities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB) and Luxembourg GAAP
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulatory deadlines
• Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners
• Prepare comprehensive annual tax documentation for tax advisers
• Support optimization of financial processes and systems across the organization
• Contribute to diverse finance department projects, bringing your expertise and innovative ideas

What We're Looking For

• University degree in business, accounting, or finance; OR commercial apprenticeship with 3+ years of professional accounting experience
• Additional certification as a chartered accountant is advantageous
• In-depth knowledge of standard accounting software, ideally DATEV or Business Central
• Strong aptitude for numbers and ability to quickly understand complex financial relationships
• Conscientious, structured, and results-oriented working style
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Fluency in German (C2 level) and English (B2 level), both written and spoken
• Passion for working in dynamic environments while maintaining oversight of multiple tasks
