(Senior) Financial Accountant Real Estate (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential real estate organization seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for their Leipzig office. In this role, you will:

• Independently manage day-to-day financial accounting for multiple property companies and holding entities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with German Commercial Code (HGB) and Luxembourg GAAP
• Prepare and submit VAT returns within required deadlines
• Serve as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on accounting matters
• Prepare annual tax documentation for external tax advisers
• Support optimization of financial processes and systems
• Contribute to diverse finance department projects, bringing your expertise and ideas to the team

What We're Looking For

• Degree in business with specialization in accounting, or commercial apprenticeship with 3+ years professional experience; further training as a chartered accountant is advantageous
• In-depth knowledge of standard accounting software, ideally DATEV or Business Central
• Strong aptitude for numbers and ability to quickly grasp complex financial interrelationships
• Conscientious, structured, and results-oriented work approach
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel
• Fluency in German (C2 level) and English (B2 level), both written and spoken
• Passion for working in a dynamic environment while maintaining overview of multiple concurrent tasks
